NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

2015 FIVE-YEAR AND ANNUAL AGENCY PLAN MCMINNVILLE

 

HOUSING AUTHORITY

 

Notice is hereby given to the residents of the McMinnville Housing Authority, the citizens of McMinnville, and all persons interested, that the housing authority is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 Interim Rule to submit a Public Housing Agency Plan.

 

Further, the Agency Plan shall consist of a Five Year Plan and an Annual Plan for the upcoming fiscal year 2015. The Five Year Plan describes the mission of the housing authority and the long range goals and objectives for achieving its mission over the subsequent five years. The Annual Plan provides details about the housing authorityÕs immediate operations, program participants, programs and services, and the housing authorityÕs strategy for handling operational concerns, residentsÕ concerns and needs, programs and services for the upcoming fiscal year.

 

HUD recently published guidance on implementation of new flat rent requirements. These new requirements will be discussed during the public hearing.

 

Prior to submission of the Agency Plan to HUD, we are soliciting comments and suggestions. We will be conducting a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at McMinnville Housing Authority, 607 North Spring Street, McMinnville, Tennessee, to discuss the proposed plans. All residents are encouraged to attend.

 

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may submit written comments regarding the Annual Agency Plans to Patricia Basham, Executive Director, McMinnville Housing Authority, 301 Hardaway Street, McMinnville, Tennessee, 37110. Written comments will be received through Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.
