Debra Sue Murray of Morrison passed from this earthly life on May 7 at the age of 66, following a strong 18-month battle with cancer. She was born Debra Sue Sullivan on Dec. 20, 1957 in Decatur, Ill. to William and Dorothy Sullivan, who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her three children, Erin (Jason) Blalock of McMinnville, Kevin (Crissy) Collins of Ooltewah and Kayley (Cody) Pierce of Unionville. She was best known as ‘Monka’ by her surviving grandchildren, Allyson Blalock, Max Collins, Lainey Collins, Collins Blalock, Tripper Blalock and Miley Kate Pierce. She is also survived by her siblings, Greg Sullivan of Cerra Gordo, Ill. and Jennifer (David) Burton of Stewardson, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Christopher Sullivan, Grady (Carson) Sullivan, Jacob (Rajilla) Sullivan, Lindsay (Dakota) Burton, Nicholas Burton, Paige Sullivan, Jack Burton, and Adam Burton; Paul Collins, who was by her side throughout her illness and very special friends, Tanya Foster and Logan Taylor.
Per Ms. Murray’s wishes, she will be cremated. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at High’s.
