Smartt, Minnear plan fall wedding

Alexandria Gail Smartt will marry Johnny Wayne Minnear in a ceremony scheduled for this fall in McMinnville.

Mr. and Mrs. George Madison Smartt of McMinnville, Tennessee announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandria Gail Smartt to Johnny Wayne Minnear, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Minnear of Sparta, Tennessee.

Alex is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Deimer L. Smartt and Mrs. Martha A. Smartt of McMinnville, and the late Mr. Eugene Underhill and the late Mrs. Dorothy J. Underhill of Mt. Juliet and Lebanon. Johnny is the grandson of the late James L. Minnear, the late Girtie J. Minner, the late James F. Roberts, and the late Carol J. Roberts of Sparta.

The future bride is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She obtained a Juris Doctorate from Belmont University College of Law.  She is an attorney practicing in the area of personal injury and nursing home abuse and neglect.

The future groom is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Wellness. He is currently a Chief Warrant Officer 3 with the United States Army. He is stationed at Fort Campbell in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he is a Black Hawk pilot.

A fall 2022 family wedding is planned at the Smartt home in McMinnville. The couple will reside in Clarksville.
