McMinnville Police Capt. Ben Cantrell takes Tyson Locke into custody during a drug raid on Beta Street on Friday afternoon.

A trio of local men appeared in court Tuesday morning after being arrested in a drug raid Friday afternoon.

Tyson Locke, 23, Toby Meeks, 25, and Curtis Crumb Jr., 39, were all facing multiple charges and were scheduled to appear before General Sessions Judge Ryan J. Moore, stemming from a raid on a house at 106 Beta St., which is part of the McMinnville Housing Authority, Friday just before 4:30 p.m.

Officers responded to execute a search warrant, and upon entering the house discovered the three suspects, along with other individuals, in the residence. According to arrest warrants, Crumb was in a bedroom at the rear of the house, where a significant amount of drug paraphernalia was reportedly located. Meeks and Locke were in another bedroom, in which more paraphernalia and a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine was discovered.

A loaded .380 handgun was found in the living room, shoved between the cushion of a chair. The weapon was allegedly claimed by Locke, who is a convicted felon. Additionally, a Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Meeks, was parked behind the residence and officers reported it had an altered vehicle identification number. Meeks reportedly does not have a valid license, and had been banned from Housing Authority property for three years as of March 5.

Meeks faces charges of criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, fraudulently altering the serial number on an automobile and possession of meth. Locke is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, as well as possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia, and Crumb is charged with possession of paraphernalia plus two counts of violation of probation.
