McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joyce Ann Davis, 68, was born Feb. 2, 1953 and died Jan. 16 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Ollie Pauline Durham Mears. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Edna Young, Anita Reed, and Margaret Tramel and brothers, Thomas Mears and Charlie Mears.
Ms. Davis is survived by children, Janice Hennessee, Rhonda Drake, and Lymon (Laura) Davis, all of McMinnville, grandchildren, KaLana Johnson, Galen Johnson, Dylan Drake, Jeremiah Davis, Dawson Drake, Ethan Davis, and Isabell Davis, great-grandchildren Gavin, Paisley, Dallas, Dexter, and Kylee, brothers John Mears, James Mears, and George Mears, sisters Myrtle Cox, Roberta Collins, Maggie Lance, Treva Hutchins, and Wallene Davis; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at High’s Chapel with Chris Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www. highfuneralhome.com.
