The Warren County Commission is considering support for a measure that asks the General Assembly to change state law so counties can return to electing school superintendents.Under current law, the director of schools is appointed by the School Board. In Warren County, the School Board recently appointed Bobby Cox to fill the position held by Dr. Jerry Hale, who will retire at the end of this school year.The County Commission is scheduled to vote on this resolution Monday night. If approved, it would be non-binding.
