Christmas is a time for making memories with friends and family members.
With so many happy feelings associated with the holiday season, the Southern Standard is eager to hear about your special moments. That’s why we’ve opened a blog on our website called Christmas Memories.
A link to the blog is located near the top right corner of our home page at www.southernstandard.com. Once you click on the link, you will be able to share a Christmas memory.
“We thought this would be something nice to do in the spirit of the holidays,” said Standard publisher Pat Zechman. “People always seem to enjoy positive stories in the pages of their newspaper. This gives everyone a chance to share a nice memory they have about Christmas. We hope people take this opportunity to participate.”
To get the proverbial ball rolling, Standard editor James Clark wrote about two of his favorite Christmas memories in his column appearing on page 4A of today’s edition.
A gift certificate to Wink Skincare will be given to the winning entry in the Christmas Memory promotion. The gift certificate would make a nice Christmas present for anyone in need of a little pampering.
So start thinking about Christmas memories that bring a smile and let us know about them on our website. The deadline is Tuesday and the best entries will be published in the newspaper.
