Cars, Christ and chocolate gravy. The second annual Cruis’n for Christ will have all three.
Cruis’n for Christ is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Dayspring Community Church. Car enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their classic rides and join the church for a free breakfast at 9 a.m. and a car and motorcycle show from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Organizer Blaine Wilcher says everyone is welcome. He believes this is a fun way to fellowship and enjoy some classic vehicles. “This is the second year for this event at the Dayspring Community Church on Smithville Highway,” said Wilcher. “It’s an opportunity to fellowship with other believers and look at some really cool cars, trucks and motorcycles.”
The breakfast is free and Wilcher says there will be chocolate gravy, which is a favorite among many. “We are serving breakfast, including chocolate gravy, at 9 a.m. for everyone and will be looking at the rides in between our Sunday school classes and regular worship service,” he said.
There will also be dash plaques given to all those who bring a vehicle for the cruise in. “We start the cruise in at 9 a.m. and will end around 12:30 pm. We have dash plaques for all those who bring a classic ride. We also welcome anyone who wants to look at the rides and worship with us,” said Wilcher.
