Chip Greene and Friends are once again ready to nourish the soul to help feed the needy with a concert to benefit Warren County Emergency Food Bank.
The third annual concert will be Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at Park Theater.
“Last year’s concert was great,” said Greene. “We raised about $1,200 for the food bank, which was great. We’ll try to top that this year.”
Greene hosts and produces the event as a night of singer/ songwriters playing in a variety of styles. This year’s lineup will feature Lilly Winwood, Molly Jewell, Temple Kemezis, Sleep Nation and more.
“I always try to bring in at least one local person,” said Greene. “Last year we had Josh Wanamaker. This year, we have Molly Jewell. She is a sensational singer songwriter. She’s a killer musician with a great voice. Lilly’s music is soulful Americana. It’s just good music.”
Kemezis is a ballet dancer from New York. She performs during Greene’s songs.
“They loved her last year,” said Greene. “Actually, they told me I should never perform without her. Obviously, that’s not going to happen with her busy schedule. However, if she can be there on this one night each year, I’m happy.”
Originally from Warren County, Greene now lives in Nashville. He pens wistful tales of love and loss.
While ticket sales are the actual fundraiser, people attending the concert may bring nonperishable food items which will also be given to the food bank.
Tickets are on sale now at Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank on Main Street, Chamber of Commerce, Park Theater, Womack Printing Company and All O-K’Sions.
Advance ticket prices are $15 per adult and $7.50 per child. Day of show at box office will be $20 adult and $10 child, but a limited number of tickets will be available at the box office on the day of show.
