Once the lights and trim are removed and back in boxes, the city of McMinnville has just the place for unwanted evergreen trees — a Christmas tree recycling project.The Department of Urban Forestry will again be collecting trees for recycling. Drop-off areas are at McMinnville Civic Center on Garfield Street and Three Star Mall on Sparta Street. Both areas will be marked.“Once Christmas is over, what to do with the tree is the nagging question,” said city landscape manager Hank Patton.
