Not even four Centertown defenders could stop Isaiah Robledo Thursday night. Robledo scored all 11 of his points during a 20-0 run from the opening tip as he guided Morrison to a title.

When Isaiah Robledo took the court, he was going warp speed. The rest of the Eagles kept pace, but Centertown couldn’t.

Robledo earned MVP honors after scoring 11 points to lead Morrison to a 34-14 victory in the Division 2 preseason boys championship game at Eastside Thursday night.

Robledo scored all his points in an opening spurt when the Eagles scored the game’s first 20 points. From there, it was just waiting for the clock to slowly tick to :00.

From the opening tip, Robledo was moving at a different speed than everybody on the court. The shifty point guard started the scoring by swishing a 3-pointer from the wing. After that, he turned the game into his personal layup line.

When Robledo wasn’t slicing through the Warrior defense for floaters, he was taking the ball away from Centertown and running in for easy twos.

Bradan Hagans got in on the action early as well, drilling a 3-pointer and getting a layup as the Eagles never had to sweat in the title tilt.

Lealon Arnold finally snapped Morrison’s run with a layup. He would go on to finish with four points, which tied with Ryder Gilispie and Kiptyn Medley for top honors for Centertown. Carter Melson added a late layup as the Warriors played the Eagles even for the final three quarters.

Kristopher Robledo added six points for the Eagles, while Kennedy Ramsey, Sam Greene and Trayce Ashford each finished with four points.
