Murfreesboro resident and Putnam County native Karen Leslie Martin, 50, was born April 24, 1964 and died May 14 at her residence following a sudden illness. She spent most of her childhood and attended school through her high school years in Key Biscane, Fla., which still held a special place in her heart. She later went on to attend college at MTSU.A film and video producer and member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of Ladye Jane Hunter of McMinnville and the late William Henry Martin.
