Ashland City resident and Corpus Christi, Texas native David Watt Boland, 76, was born Feb. 17, 1937 and died July 7 at Golden Living Center in Springfield following an extended illness.Retired from the Department of Defense with Tinker Air Force Base and a United States Air Force veteran of Korea, he was the son of the late Walter and Frances Cooper Boland. He was married to Linda Jo Payton Boland, who preceded him in death March 17, 2009.He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gary Harper of Ashland City; son, David Boland Jr.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and several cousins.A graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County with Roy Terry officiating. Full military honors will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
