Carson E. Madewell, 82, passed in the arms of God on Jan. 5. He was the son of the late Earl J. And Janie Lee Madewell.
Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn J. Madewell, his children Tony Madewell and Amy (Joey) Killingsworth, his grandchildren Bryce (Ricky) Tallant, Annais (Jacob) Thorne, Sidney (Jacob) Stander, Micah Madewell, Zane Madewell, Baylee Killingsworth, Chloe Madewell, his great-grandchildren Weston Alexander and Steele Tallant, Marley Blayke Stander and Ethan Lake Madewell, sisters Ann (Wayne) Hale and Patricia Anderson (deceased).
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Next to God, his family members were the primary love of his life. He had many interests and enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling to most states and many foreign countries.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. (Central) in the Layne Chapel in Spencer with Bro. R.C. Christian officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 p.m. (Central) till time of service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County.
