Rock Island resident and Detroit, Mich., native Betty Virginia Angaran, 80, was born March 18, 1936 and died July 7 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following a four-month illness. Retired as a watch repair person at Hudson’s Department Store and a member of New Union United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Fran Veech Frey.She was married July 13, 1957 to Richard Angaran of Rock Island. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children and their spouses, Arthur and Kay Angaran of Carp Lake, Mich., Alan Angaran of Center Line, Mich., Audrey Trapp of Smithville, Ann Marie Sapienza of Warren, Mich., and Joseph H. and Lisa Angaran of Smithville; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Tom Salawage of Dearborn, Mich., Florence Kawalski of Florida and Mildred and Bob Wold of California.
