Youth conference set for this weekend

Pleasant View Baptist Church is presenting its third annual Awakening Youth Conference on Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, at the church located at 2355 Lonnie Smith Road in Woodbury.
The Awakening is a conference designed to reach the youth of today, according to pastor Jeff Cripps.
The event will feature different genres of Christian music including artist from 3 Nails Artist Management Group, as well as local talent.
“We will have three bands Friday night as well as worship bands on Saturday night. We will begin serving food at 5 p.m. and services will begin at 6 p.m. each night. We do not have a set time, but the entertainment will last approximately two hours each night. This will be our biggest conference yet,” said Cripps.
Youth pastor Mike Fowler from Jacksonville, Fla., will be the guest speaker each night.
Providence Baptist Youth Group will be entertaining and members of Prosperity Baptist will be providing motions to songs.
Crossroads Community Fellowship Band will perform Friday night while Encounter Eternal Band will provide entertainment Saturday night.
There will be food, cash and prizes each night. The event is free.
