A woman who flipped off a lawman despite having drugs on her and driving without a license was given five days in jail. The woman, Robbie Charleene Ward, 40, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Larry Ross to charges of simple possession of drugs and driving on a suspended license. She was ordered to serve five days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $1,803 and lose her driver license for one year. Her charges come for an incident that happened outside Jewell’s Market on Smithville Highway.“There were several persons in the vehicle and saw me across the highway and flipped me off,” recalled sheriff’s investigator Kelly Carter, noting getting the finger from people in the car prompted him to cross the street and ask them what their problem was. However, upon talking to Ward, who was driving the vehicle, he found out she did not have a driver license. She was then placed under arrest but the lawman noticed she kept reaching for something.
