The fourth annual Breakfast Rotary River Ride and Clean Up was another great success, with two tons of trash pulled from the Barren Fork River, according to Friends of our River chairman Neal Cox, bringing the total to 13.5 tons in four years.Cox said the effort is beginning to have a visible effect, but there is still much to be done and the job is ongoing.“Someone floated the river and said they didn’t think there was any trash there and it wasn’t worth fooling with it,” Cox said. “But we still got another two tons out.“It was a super good day and I think we had about 120 there. At least we fed about 120,” Cox added.
