Vandalism charge stems from longstanding property dispute

A boundary dispute between two Margo Lane women ended with one being fined for vandalism after she spray painted a line between their properties, the line crossing potted plants and a wheelbarrow which was sitting on the disputed boundary.“This is just ridiculous over five feet of land,” remarked General Sessions Judge Larry Ross in fining Robbie Prater $10 plus costs for vandalizing the property of Novice Blair. “There’s nothing worse than a bad neighbor.”His ruling came for spray painting a wheelbarrow and potted plant belonging to Blair. Prater admitted there had been a long-standing issue between the women who had been neighbors for 14 years and that she had decided to paint a line since Blair continuously tore down any lines she tied on the boundary.
