Two architects get interviews

Architects to be interviewed for the $4.6 million school projects at Irving College School, WCHS, and Bobby Ray were decided in a joint meeting of the School Board and the Warren County Financial Management and Education Committees. Out of eight architectural firms which responded to the request for proposals, two were chosen to be interviewed. Cope Architecture of Knoxville and Upland Design Group of Crossville were selected.The School Board, as well as the two county committees, voted unanimously to approve interviewing the two firms.Upland has previously done work with the county, including construction of Centertown Elementary School.Cope Architecture has done work in surrounding counties in a similar scope, including additions to Van Buren County High School.Both companies will be interviewed Oct. 20 by the School Board and Education and Financial Management Committees.
