Former General Sessions Judge Larry Ross returned to the bench Thursday morning, hearing a handful of cases.Ross, who retired from the bench late last year after 13 years as General Sessions Judge, is presently in private practice here in McMinnville.Ross returned to his old job Thursday, at least briefly, as he held court in lieu of Judge Bill Locke who was at a judicial conference. Arraignment dockets were heard in both Tuesday and Thursday sessions meaning trial court cases for those days were continued to a later date.Included in the short seven-person docket heard by Ross in General Sessions Traffic Court:• Lee Allen was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $465 and must make restitution on all checks for passing 12 worthless checks in amounts ranging from $6 to $66.• Ashley Singleton was fined $20 plus costs for driving without a license or seatbelt.• Nancy Self must pay $20 plus costs for driving without a license or seatbelt.• Matthew Leach must pay $10 plus costs for driving without a license.• Francisco Lazzara must pay $10 plus costs for driving without a license.Clarification• Anthony W. Campbell, pastor of Spirit of Life Church, is not the Anthony Campbell charged with harassment.
