Forty-nine defendants appeared Thursday before Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Court Traffic Court, including a man accused of drunk driving with his 2-year-old in the car.
The suspected drunk driver, Miguel Leal, had his case set for March 28 when he will answer to charges of second-offense DUI and child endangerment.
Police found Leal behind the wheel of his car in the Waffle House parking lot while investigating a complaint about a drunk driver. Police determined Leal was under the influence and discovered his 2-year-old son was a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle.
