For residents looking for a local donation site for keepsakes that may have been blown here after a tornado ripped through Lincoln County last week, Motlow State Community College is the spot.
The local college will be collecting debris items and returning them to Lincoln County.
On Monday of last week, an EF-3 tornado swept through Lincoln County killing two people as it destroyed 25 structures and damaged several others.
Items sought include anything considered irreplaceable, such as photographs and negatives, wedding albums, wedding dresses, christening dresses, birth certificates, wills, passports, driver licenses, insurance papers, deeds, etc.
Motlow College employee Laura Monks says the items will be picked up and a local church will be lending a hand in helping find their owners.
“I plan to pick up these items and bring them here to Lincoln County where a local church will be making them available to those affected by the storm,” said Monks.
McMinnville’s Motlow campus will be accepting items Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
