The past few decades have brought more changes to the classroom than in the previous centuries of Western civilization. That’s not because teachers and students have changed that much, but because modern technology has created unprecedented opportunities, as well as unanticipated challenges. This explosion of ideas in teaching and learning was the theme of Dr. Katrina Haley’s presentation at the honors banquet of the Warren County Retired Teachers Association. Haley is director of information technology with the Warren County School System.Elsewhere in the meeting, the group honored Dr. Jerry Hale, immediate-past director of Warren County schools and former classroom instructor and coach, as its 2014 Retired Teacher of the Year.
