A man who crashed after leading deputies on a chase through sides roads will serve 60 days in jail.The defendant, Jessie James Strothers, 40, was directed to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence for evading arrest, reckless driving, violation of the open container law and unlawful carrying of a weapon.His sentence comes after deputies responded to a domestic call. He was confronted by Sgt. Mike Vann when he returned to the scene of the disturbance on Francis Ferry Road.“I confronted him in the driveway and he left the scene at a high rate of speed,” Vann said in the warrant against Strothers. “He was traveling on both sides of the road and evading the blue lights and siren.”Strothers wrecked on Salem Road and was taken into custody.
Strothers flight from lawmen ends in crash, 60-day sentence
