McMinnville officials have agreed to place a four-way stop at the intersection of Rivermont Drive and Boyd Avenue. The intersection was recently the scene of a dirt bike wreck that injured two boys.“I love stop signs in residential areas and you can quote me,” said Alderman Rick Barnes during a Safety Committee meeting Tuesday night. “We don’t have enough of them.”Barnes says stop signs slow people down and help prevent excessive speed in areas where children play.He and fellow Safety Committee member Everett Brock voted unanimously to allow a four-way stop to be placed at the intersection.
