MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities and eyewitnesses say a horse went on a wild carriage ride without its driver in a tourist area in Memphis, injuring at least one person. The Commercial Appeal reports the horse was eventually brought under control Friday night in an area near Beale Street and was apparently uninured. James Freeman, a visitor from St. Louis, says the carriage driver was picking up passengers and was trying to get into the carriage when the horse started moving.
