Bureau of Land Management seeking input on coal program

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is holding a public meeting later this month in Knoxville, seeking input on potential reforms to the federal coal program.

The Knoxville session is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 26 at the Tennessee Theatre. Other events are scheduled during May and June in Casper, Wyoming; Salt Lake City; Pittsburgh; Seattle; and Grand Junction, Colorado.

Written comments will also be accepted until July 23 by email to BLM_WO_Coal_Program_PEIS_Comments@blm.gov or mail to Coal Programmatic EIS Scoping, Bureau of Land Management, 20 M St. SE, Room 2134 LM, Washington, D.C. 20003.
