Dibrell Elementary held a special assembly Tuesday morning to honor heroes. The event held a special surprise for one of the school’s first graders, who got to reunite with his hero.Isaiah Cunningham, 6, had entered an essay contest and wrote about his hero, that being his father Army Sgt. James “Jimmy” Cunningham. He was deployed to Korea in August 2012.
