Smokin' In McMinnville hopes for increased participation

McMinnville officials are gearing up for a bigger and better Smokin’ in McMinnville this year. Approved was spending $7,335 to install additional power sources for the event which will increase the number of teams allowed in the competition from 40 to 50.Scott McCord, Smokin’ in McMinnville committee member and the city’s Parks and Recreation director, asked the city for more power.“I’m part of the Smokin’ in McMinnville committee,” said McCord. “We are looking at getting 50 teams into the tournament this year.
