Treats were not the only thing sought on Halloween night. There were six vehicles burglarized Monday night, according to McMinnville Police Chief Bryan Denton. The burglaries were all in the same general area with two reported on Spring Street and one each reported on Gessler Circle, Gay Street, Mauzy Street, and Warren Street. Denton said yesterday afternoon it’s possible there were other burglaries which have yet to be reported.“Whoever did this may have taken advantage of the fact there’s a high volume of pedestrian traffic on Halloween night,” said Denton. “Any other night, an officer would take note if there was someone walking around houses at night, but you don’t think anything about it on Halloween.”Denton said electronics were targeted such as radios and CD and DVD players.
