Shellsford smashup Serious injury was avoided Monday morning when a Freightliner owned by Morris Farm and driven by James Lowe, 47, pulled into the path of a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by Randy Cruz, 68. Tennessee State Trooper Tony Myers said Lowe would likely be cited for failure to yield right of way. Cruz suffered bruises and cuts but refused transfer by ambulance. Cruzs service dog, La Diela, was a passenger in the car and was unharmed. Both Lowe and his passenger, David Gregg, 22, were unhurt.
