Sex offender charged for failing to report residency

A convicted sex offender living in the woods near Cumberland Plaza has been bound to the grand jury for violating the terms of his state sex offender registry agreement.The suspect, Robert Morris Turner, 56, was bound to the grand jury by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on the charge of violation of the sex registry.His binding comes after he admitted he had been living in Warren County for three months, but had not reported being here. State law requires people on the registry to report any move within 48 hours. During their investigation, police learned Turner had been living in the woods behind Lowe’s.In other General Sessions trial court action heard Tuesday:• Ricky Fox was directed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence for evading arrest, resisting arrest, and violation of probation.
