The 2015-16 school year will begin a little later than in years past but is still scheduled to conclude before Memorial Day.“The feedback we got was that parents would rather start the school year a little later as long as the year ended before Memorial Day,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox. “We have been able to accommodate that in this year’s schedule.”The first day of school will be Aug. 14, with registration happening on Aug. 12, which is an abbreviated day. High School graduation is slated for May 27, 2016 which will also be the last official day of school.The schedule is very similar to the template used the past several years.
