An opinion issued by a Tennessee Department of Education attorney that transgender students should be given the option of which bathroom they use will not fly in Warren County.“There are no transgender restrooms at Warren County Schools,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox. “Boys go to boys and girls go to girls.”Cox’s comment comes after Elizabeth Taylor, Tennessee Department of Education civil rights attorney, revealed a recent settlement agreement that requires all transgender students to be allowed to use the bathroom facilities of the gender in which they identify. The opinion went on to say that while schools may offer a unisex option when it comes to bathroom facilities, a transgender student would still be able to choose to use any restroom of their choice.
