Tennessee’s tax free weekend kicked continues today and local retailers say the event has generated a boost in sales. Sales tax holiday items include clothing under $100, school and art supplies under $100, and computers under $1,500.At Three Star Mall, Goody’s assistant manager Renee Poole said business has been good.“It’s been very busy,” Poole said, “Very busy. Friday was really successful, we had a lot of business here so I think everybody’s been really happy.”Poole said parents have been taking advantage of Goody’s wide selection of apparel for children returning to school.“We’ve been selling a lot of kid’s clothes,” Poole said.
