For the Warren County Rescue Squad, the annual Toy Drive is all about making people happy. For almost 50 years, Rescue Squad volunteers have spread joy to the children of Warren County by collecting and distributing toys to underprivileged families. While the drive takes hours of work on the part of the Rescue Squad, it is truly a labor of love.Said director Chad Hillis, “For lots of the squad members, this makes their Christmas, seeing the people who are really needy and putting a smile on the faces of the kids is what gives us satisfaction.”Longtime Rescue Squad member Joel Tate agrees, saying, “It’s all worth it. I know this takes us a long time to do this.
