Raid uncovers drugs and guns

A man was given five years in prison after deputies raided his Winding Way home, finding drugs and guns.The man, Joseph A. Edwards, 31, has entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of possession of meth and theft. He was directed to serve five years in the state penitentiary and must pay $2,000 plus costs. His time will be served in addition to time he owes the state for violation of probation.According to sheriff’s investigator Steven Carpenter, officers went to the residence to serve a warrant.
