Praying for Chelsea

A Praying for Chelsea benefit auction and chili supper is being held tomorrow night at Warren County Middle School for 11-year-old Chelsea Clark, who is the sister of high school football player Josh Clark. Chelsea has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, commonly called bone cancer.
Chelsea had surgery at the end of October for surgeons to remove a five-inch tumor from her left arm. The surgeons also removed a one inch margin of bone close to the tumor that was free of cancer. Spots have been found on her lungs which doctors are monitoring.
All proceeds from the benefit will go to Chelsea’s parents, Tom and Vickie Clark, to be used during their time of need.
The chili supper will cost a minimum donation of $5 and will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. in the WCMS cafeteria. Live music by the band Midnight Flyer will be featured. The auction will begin at 7 p.m.
The Warren County Youth Baseball Association is donating $200 to Chelsea’s father, Tom, who is a Senior League baseball commissioner.
Caney Fork Electric is also taking donations for Chelsea at its drive-thru window.
