Postal Service braces for Christmas rush

McMinnville postmaster Brent Nunley says the local post office will process four times the number of packages during the Christmas season. For that reason, he is offering tips to help ensure your delivery arrives on time.
With Thanksgiving over, U.S. Postal Service has set deadlines in order to handle the onslaught of mail and packages that need to be delivered by Christmas. “On average, we will process about a 1,000 packages a day,” said McMinnville postmaster Brent Nunley. “During the Christmas season that will increase to about 4,000 a day.
