Pioneers begin season tonight
Warren County senior Jordan Bonner, No. 25, and the Pioneer football team will be taking the field at Nunley Stadium tonight at 7 p.m.
School officials are hoping for a packed house at Nunley Stadium tonight when Warren County High School kicks off its 2015 football season.Game time is set for 7 p.m. It will be the debut for coach Tom Moore on the Pioneer sideline. The coaching veteran, who has a storied history of winning, will see if he can lead Warren County to its first winning season since 1991.DeKalb County makes a familiar opening-game rival for the Pioneers as this will mark the ninth straight season the teams have met in week one. The overall series between the schools goes back 10 years with Warren County holding a 6-4 series lead.The Pioneers broke a three-game losing streak to DeKalb County last year by winning in Smithville.
