A teen who claimed she was raped and held against her will faces charges of fabricating evidence and filing a false report. The woman, Alicia Francisca Pantoja, 18, was hit with the charges after she told sheriff’s investigator Steven Carpenter she had been held against her will and raped at a residence on Beersheba Street. However, her story fell apart, the investigator said, once she was questioned extensively.“After talking for about two hours, she admitted the whole story was a lie,” Carpenter said, noting she came clean about her motives. “She stated she just came up with the story to get attention from her boyfriend.”Her contact with law enforcement actually stemmed from an incident that happened two days earlier.
