Fair-food
Billy and Patty Lawson enjoy their first fair burgers of the year Friday night at the North Hills Church of God of Prophecy booth.
You might think 6-year-old Alyssa Killian is a newcomer when it comes to serving customers at the North Hills Church of God of Prophecy food booth.Nah, she’s a savvy vet.“I did this last year,” said Alyssa while pouring a Sundrop for a customer on Friday, the first night of the fair.Just don’t expect her to keep long hours at the food booth. “I can’t wait to ride the mini roller coaster,” she said while playing with the soft drink handles.Billy Lawson was one of the first customers at the North Hills Church food booth and didn’t waste any time scarfing down a cheeseburger.“A man has to wait all year for this,” said Lawson. “They ought to have it twice a year.”While Billy enjoys the tractor pull, horse show, and the food, his wife, Patty, says she likes gospel singing Sunday afternoon. This is the 62nd year for the Warren County A&L Fair.
