Since the Standard began Banana Day about 10 years ago, newspaper employees have served at least 500 banana splits each year.If a free banana split won’t get you to visit the newspaper office, cold cash and discount subscriptions serve as extra incentives. All visitors can register to win two cash prizes of $100 while they are enjoying their ice cream.Subscriptions are also heavily discounted for new customers.
