McMinnville Police Department is closer to relocating into a new facility behind the Blue Building. City officials liked preliminary site plans for construction and began taking steps toward making the idea a reality.Building and Grounds Committee members Aldermen Ben Newman, chairman, Ken Smith and Jimmy Bonner were unanimously on board with preliminary site plans by AEI Architects Engineer Planners. Architect Peter Metts presented those plans Tuesday night.
