Morrison Ruritan seeks 2013 Citizen of the Year

A tradition that has spanned over three decades will continue again this year as Morrison Ruritan accepts nominations for its annual Citizen of the Year Award. The 2012 Citizen of the Year recipient was Lee Baker.Morrison Ruritan president Mike Holland says Friday, March 8 is the deadline for nominations for the 2013 Citizen of the Year. The following guidelines are the basis for selecting the honoree:• Nominations are to be made by the general public• Persons nominated must live in the Morrison area or have some connection, past or present, with the Morrison community• Nominees will be judged on church work, community activities, public service, or a combination of the three.A panel of judges will review the nomination letters and select a recipient.
