Morrison man among group of shoplifters

A Morrison man has been released on time served after he was caught as part of a youthful shoplifting gang with at least one underage partner in crime.The man, Justin Anthony Pinter, 22, was given an 11-month, 29-day probationary sentence and released on time served after entering guilty pleas before Special Judge Barry Medley to charges of shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He must also pay $411 and has been banned from Walmart.His probation comes after he was caught with two females trying to steal merchandise from Walmart. According to Walmart Loss Prevention, the three were seen concealing items within the store.“They selected multiple children’s clothing items and boots then went into the shoe department where all three concealed the merchandise in the girls’ purses,” the warrant reads against Pinter.Security officials said the group then tried to split up and leave through separate exits to avoid apprehension.“Justin left through the garden center doors and the girls tried to leave through the grocery side doors passing the last point of sale without trying to pay for the merchandise.”The total amount of items being stolen was $62.
