A man who allowed his drunk friend to drive his car because he didn’t have a license will serve the same amount of time she will serve for drunk driving. The man, Johnny Ramos, 46, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the charge of DUI by allowance. He was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and must pay $350 plus costs, attend DUI class, perform 24 hours public service work, and lose his driver license for one year. His sentence is the exact same sentence received by the driver, Crystal C. Perez, 29, who entered a guilty plea to the charge of DUI.The two were charged after a serious accident on West Green Hill Road earlier this year. The wreck saw Perez run off Green Hill Road behind the wheel of Ramos’ Nissan Stanza and hit a tree, sending Perez to Erlanger Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
