A man who choked his live-in girlfriend and then threatened to slit her throat and skin her like a deer will serve three months in jail.The defendant, David Edward Scott, 50, was sentenced to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $100 to the women’s shelter for domestic assault. He was also warned to have no contact with the victim or face serving the entire year in jail.His sentence comes after his girlfriend told officers he attacked her.“He ripped my blouse off and tied it around my neck in an attempt to strangle me,” the woman swore in her warrant against Scott. “He then hit me on the head with his fist and again strangled me with his hands.”His arrest on the charge came the following night when there was another domestic dispute involving the pair.
