Man gets 90 days for stealing tail light

Sentences were handed down Tuesday by General Sessions Judge Larry Ross, including a man who will serve three months in jail for stealing tail lights.
The defendant, Joshua Rackley, was directed to serve 90 days of an 11-29 sentence and make $200 restitution for theft. His sentence comes for taking two tail lights from a older-model Toyota without permission of its owner. The value of the lights was placed at $100 apiece.
In other court action:
• James Lange was ordered to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence for violating an order of protection. He must also serve the balance of his former sentence for violation of probation.
• Brian McKnight was instructed to serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence and pay $750 plus costs for simple possession of drugs. He must also serve the balance of his former sentence for violation of probation.
• Nathan Aguilar was instructed to serve 92 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $350 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work, attend DUI school and lose his driver license for one year for DUI and violation of probation.
• Vernon Wilkerson Jr., was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must make restitution for vandalism.
• Okoeay Smith was fined $50 plus costs and must perform 16 hours public service work for possession of alcohol under the age of 21.
• Rose Bell was issued a six-month probationary sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work for harassment.
• Sean Dustin Jones was bound to the grand jury on the charge of possession of drugs.
• Chad Carrier must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
• Kolbey Myers must serve 60 days and have his probation extended by a year for violation of probation.
• John Matlock must serve 48 hours and have his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
• Heather Trapp must serve the balance of her sentence for violation of probation.
